Cool to read the thread , along with the fun part , the discussion is going on smoothly !
Just to those who are really on the stress of the downside of country and system , it is after all not that bad as well.
And the emphasis should be on solution , and requires a positive attitude rather tahn saying " desh hi barbaad hai " !
Well i agree with the views of the author of the thread , even i believe that tuition should be done away at least till class 8th !
And i strictly dont believe in heavy workload of kids ! to quote my example : I was inducted in school at age of 6 ( much later than these days norms of getting a kid in school as soon as he is 3 years or so

) ! Till 8th i was taught by my mom only ( She herself was only literate till grade 8th

, but she would just help me out as much as she could ) !
I had tuitions for about 2 months each in Science and MAths in 9th and 10th ( The idea was to excel , infact i used to sit down with my tutor and tried much difficult problems thatn my course at that time ) . Thats it ! Ofcourse 11th and 12th i followed intensive coaching in an coaching institute.
Thank god i never flunked
That seems to be the close to ideal scenario for me.
Again i agree on the point that western students seems to have lot more varied skills adding to their personality while compared to a similar one of India and vice versa when it comes to aptitude ( pure academic ) !
I think this diversity is complimenting and also it depends on person to pick up things !!!
