RIDDLES -- Dimag ki batti jalao

If engine can be put either in front or at back , its not so difficult !!

normal rules of train applies here and yes engine can be in front or at back

please explain little more ... point three is not valid i think. Boggies cant move without engine i assume. Think again abt the same. According to me ur solution is incorrect.

yeah your are right..... how can you move a boogie without engine..

It took me 1hr to get through, so guys do not give up early....
you will enjoy this one....

Engine will take boggie A by pushing and will go 1000 mtr side, leave this boggie and now will take boggie B come down towards 1000 mtr side and will go up to leave it at earleir A place than engine will take boggie A and will leave at B place and further will lead to its original position

am tooo lazy but i thought of this one and did not take long ( so i guess , i am wrong somewhere :( )

Engine goes to left , takes bogie A and comes abck and deposits this bogie A in the right side 10 m track.

Engine then runs back and goes all the way to bogie B and deposits that to the 1000 m track anywhere ( do not care :D ).
, then retunrs to the right curve side and gets the bogie A in that 10 m corner and puts it where initailly the bogie B was , and then comes down , picks the bogie B ( bihcaari bogie :p ) and puts where A was and then comes back at its position , saying , Phewww , that was tiring :)

the only thing that looks wrong ( though i suck at puzzles :( ) is that when returning engine wont have a space to come back as it has only 10 m and it is 15 m long !!! :D

sanjeev.. A and B have swapped places but now there is no way for engine to get back to its place...

looks like you guys are having fun... any way sanjeev it was a good shot....

I also guess u r wrong somewhere ;). Check out this statement of urs

Tell me how engine can place Boggie B on 1000m track. Think again

Dood that is correct , engine can run on his own and it will take the bogie B , with engine at front and come back ! engine can move either way i believe ;)

Anil, I could not get it. engine will be at front tahn after dropping the boggei B at 1000 mtr path how engine come towards the traingle, it cant jumpover to boggei. pl clarify

You right , my solution was wrong !

Sorry DK !

I backtracked the solution , either there are some specs missing or there is something wrong!

It was tough....

1) Engine takes A and puts it at 10m corner
2) Engine goes to B from other way and pushes it backward toward A and makes a chain as EBA
3) Chain come back and leaves A at its original place and comes back with B
4) Engine puts B at 10m corner
5) Engine connects A and places it at the position original position of B
6) Engine goes to B from other corner connects it and leaves it at the original position of A and comes back to its place

uffffffffff...... that was something for real......

still some thing wrong Rahul,
how EBA chain is possible, it can be BEA only
secondly chain of two boggies and one engine cant move on 25 mtr / 10 mtr turning

No its right !!!

read it carefully !! engine never takes two bogies at a time to 25 m!

The reason i missed it was that :o , it was not so obvious that engine can make a chain of EBA , BEA , AEB are obvious , but EBA is not!

:)

I also think EBA is not possible. Sanjeev is correct on that.

Anil: The rules are what we have practically in railway dept. Engine can move both ways, bogies can move with engine and both boggies can be attached to engine to form a longer train. They are quite obvious but still to clear the doubts. guys kep trying its gud ... got a solution and hope dats correct but when u just fade up of that.

okay let me show you how it gets to EBA

1) engine connect to A
2) they come back and turn from 25m corner and drops A at 10m corner
3) now engine takes the long route from 25m -1000 m corner and connects to B (EB)
4) engine pushes B back and connects to A which is at 10m corner
and you get EBA.
4) now they come back with Engine in front towards 1000 m corner
5)turn from there towards original position of A with A in front
6) leave A there and again turn from 1000 m corner and puts B at 10 m corner
7) E again comes from 1000 m corner and connects to A... Drops A at original position of B

... you guys can do the rest.......
