Why I'm not "Proud to be Indian" kinda citizen !!

I don't take pride in calling myself a Proud Indian. Reasons are many few are stated here by a sarcastic but hard hitting poem. I don't live in bubble and accept the fact our Incredible India is in deep $hit, thanks to so called "Proud Indians" and great "Gandhi Topi Netas". I would rather call myself an ordinary citizen with civic sense who's striving to give back to country.



किस बात पर गर्व करे ??


लाखों करोड़ के घोटालों पर ?
85 करोड़ भूखे गरीबों पर ?
62 प्रतिशत कुपोषित इंसानों पर ?
या क़र्ज़ से मरते किसानों पर ?
किस बात पर गर्व करे ??


जवानों की सर कटी लाशों पर ?
सरकार में बैठे अय्याशों पर ?
स्विस बैंकों के राज़ पर ?
प्रदर्शनकारियों पर होते लाठीचार्ज पर ?
किस बात पर गर्व करे ??


राज करते कुछ परिवारों पर ?
उनकी लम्बी इम्पोर्टेड कारों पर ?
रोज़ हो रहे बलात्कारों पर ?
या भारत विरोधी नारों पर ?
किस बात पर गर्व करे ??


महंगे होते आहार पर ?
अन्याय की हाहाकार पर ?
बढ़ रहे नक्सलवाद पर ?
या देश तोड़ते आतंकवाद पर ?
किस बात पर गर्व करे ??


जवानों की खाली बंदूकों पर ?
सुरक्षा पर होती चूकों पर ?
पेंशन पर मिलते धक्कों पर ?
या IPL के चौकों-छक्कों पर ?
किस बात पर गर्व करे ??


किसानों से छिनती ज़मीनों पर ?
युवाओं की खिसकती जीनों पर ?
संस्कृति पर होते रेलों पर ?
या क्रिकेट-कॉमनवेलथ खेलों पर ?
किस बात पर गर्व करे ??


साढ़े 900 के सिलेंडर पर ?
दुश्मन के आगे होते सरेंडर पर ?
इस झूठी शान पर ?
या 'इंडियन' होने की पहचान पर ?
किस बात पर गर्व करे ??

आपणा घर कितना इ भूंडा हो उस पर माणस नै गर्व होना चाहिए, यह सोच के अक हाँ मेरा भी कोए ठोड-ठिकाणा सै I घर की हालत ठीक ना हो तो घर के हरेक सदस्य का फ़र्ज़ सै उसनै ठीक करै, न कि अपना कूलपणा ख़तम कर दे I हर घर की कुछ समस्सायें होती हैं उनसे हताश नहीं होना चाहिए और चुपचाप अपना cool रखते हुए उनका समाधान ढूंढना चाहिए I देश की अहमियत क्या होती है ये फ्लीस्तिनियों से आर इस्राइलियों से पूछो I

In agreement , if something is not working out in one's house . All family members need to work out to fix the issues within 4 walls of the house .
Agar khud gharwale hi resolution nikalne ke bajaye kosne lagenge toh bahar ke toh bas drama hi dekhenge .
 
किस बात पर गर्व करे ??

If one is proud of oneself, then he should be proud of everything related to him family , friends , community , state , nation all.
If something is good then be a part of that proud thing , else , if something is bad be responsible to share the blame.

Sanjeev, how many times have you felt proud by doing things that others feel are not a civilian's duty? I can assure you that you can do lot of things on your own to improve few things in the country. :)
 
Sir ji, you gotta read again my last line. For your convince I have put the line in quotes and also bold it. :)

Stop living in past. I know our country was greatest and richest "sone ki chidiya" but not anymore. Wake up to the reality, life is not a movie!

I am doing my bit bro...
mai apne taxes time pe or imaandari se pay karta hu...
mai apni car zebra crossing se pehle rookta hu... drive karte time sare docs (DL, insurence, pollution certi etc...) mere pass hote hain... mai paidal chalne walo ko pehle road cross karne deta hu... or hamesha traffic safety rules follow karta hu... or baki logo ko bhi yahi raye deta hu... kabhi bhi gahi no parking(police wale ho ya na ho) mai park nahi karta...
market mai chewing-gum/wrapers dustbin mai hi feekta hu...
sare bills bhi time pe deta hu... pani ya bijli ki choti bhi nahi karta...
hamesha vote daalne bhi jata hu...
or bhi aise bahot sare choote-choote kam hain...

lakin fir bhi mugjhe lagta hai ki desh ka comparison ghar ke saath nahi ho sakta...

Bhai Takhar, kavita teri ek number ki hai jma aakhar, par soche kitne hai desh khatir waa hai asli baat to. Shabd to sab likh jaane se, koe shabda pe amal kare to maane :)

Bhai Sanjeev, be satisfied. You are doing your bit, others will also follow. I too feel frustrated sometimes ki mai hi kyu law follow karta hu, but inside somewhere always feel proud that I am not like others! Is that feeling worthless?

Desi, sirf video chipkane se proud feel nahi hota.. jit ki baat bhi kuch had tak theek hai. hamaare desh me irresponsibility bahot jyada hai. agar hum isko kaabu kar le to jarur desh me sudhaar hoga. Puliciye aur naagrik agar apni apni responsibility thik trah se nibahye to sab sahi ho jayega. jarurat hai khud ko thik karne ki.

dear; let us knw hw r u striving to give bck to country. wld be great to know ur initiatives rather den hearing abt ur blames on so called "Proud Indians".

True, life is not a movie because in the movies either extremists or foreigners are anti-nationals, not citizens...

and by the way that particular scene had present scenario, nothing from the past
