Addressing his first rally after the announcement of elections in Jat-dominated Narangpur village in Amroha district on Sunday, Ajit Singh called the Muzaffarnagar violence a political conspiracy, and said that the violence in urban areas is easy to control, but not the ones in rural areas.
He criticized the SP government for not maintaining law and order and said that it was well maintained during the time of his father and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Chaudhary Charan Singh.
Referring to the achievements of United Progressive Alliance government, the RLD chief said that OBC reservation in Central government jobs for Jats is a historical achievement.
On the infrastructure development front, he said that four airports are being planned in western Uttar Pradesh. This would help improve the connectivity of businesses and bring development to the region.
On the proposed Harit Pradesh state, which is to be carved out of Uttar Pradesh, Ajit Singh said that if he comes to power, it will be his first priority to create the state and develop it like Haryana and Uttarakhand.
RLD MP and Ajit Singh's son Jayant Chaudhary and other senior leaders were also present at the rally
