I have been beating the drum in favor of freedom of speech here for a very long time. I personally donot care for name-calling but if there was freedom of speech Mayawati would have no grounds to arrest MS Tikait.

Maybe the jats in UP need to ask for a separate state if they are not being represented in the state assembly and they feel oppressed.

yes, seperate western UP and reservation of Jats in OBC are the two lessons that Jats must learn from this.

Arresting family members is a common practice in India (I can say with more certainity about rural areas). This is a way for police to bargain with family members of an absconder and make him surrender. In this case though they registered cases against his sons for inciting mob violence.

Tikait was arrested, just saw it on NDTV.

He is bumbling like a fool, making Mayawati his beti and $hit. He said it was a mistake and a slip of tongue. Why did he say what he said if he did'nt intend to follow through, I don't know if he is using the sympathy card here.

I am just happy that there was no violence.

Only sensible thing he said was that he did'nt want bloodshed, rest of the time he was kissing Mayawati's a$$.

I want to see how this unfolds. I personally would not call anybody a slur, but Mayawati is so annoying and destructive that its hard to hold back.
 
What about Mr.Tikait's huge fan following?? Don't they feel morally cheated. Has the trust just being abused???

I am not so very sure.

I do not know if it is a fair comparison . . . . But here is an interesting observation.

a force of 10,000 Jawans which included police officials of 6 districts, 11 companies of RAF, could not arrest Tikait(Not because he was a good leader, is he? but because of the retaliation by Jats of Sisauli village)

where as

Voice of thousands of gujjars in Rajasthan was crushed by police after a couple of days of violence.

Another important part that was observed in NDTV coverage. People who were backing Tikait said: " Yaa to mhaari bhasha hai, ar ye hi nahi hum sab Chammari kah ar kahavenge" .... Now will Mayawati take some action further?

When he apologised on NDTV, I saw the expression on the guys face standing next to him, it was as if a lizard crawled into his mouth.... his eyes almost popped out.

Also Tikait needs to visit a dentist !!
 
No they won't. How many followers has left himself with? No more than several hurndreds or at best a thousand in Sisouli village; and he himself is to be blamed for that.

This is not the first time he's done it. And it isn't the last either.

Lemme tell you what his close associates reliably reveal about him. In 1994, on the peak of one such "kisan aandolans", Mulayam, the then chief minister, invited him to Lucknow for talks. The doors of state guest house were thrown open as Mulayam played an excellent host to Tikait according a five-star reception to the latter. Grapvine says, the CM had made every arrangement -- from wine to women -- for our jat leader. Rank stupid that Tikait is, he fell for the bait and had a gala time that nite, even as Mulayam was busy getting a sleazy video of his done.

The next day when Tikait went to meet the CM at the latter's residence to put forth farmers' demands, Mulayam took him to another room for a repeat telecast of the kisan neta's sexcapade with a bunch of damsels.

No prizes for guessing, Tikait immediately called the aandolan off. Ever since, Tikait behaves like a lap-dog in front of the Samajwadi Party chief.

PS: Mulayam himself got into a similar trouble because of the motormouth pimp Amar Singh. Fortunately for him, the CD, which is a startling revelation as to how murky the Indian politcs is, couldn't see the light of the day because of an intervention by the court.

Maywaiti neh Tikait par Thook ka chatwaya hai... Iss jisa leader bas nere Bizli ke bill maaf karwan kaa hai..

Susare nee mari aur bhejti karwa dii.. jab naa dum thaa toh kyon kude thaaa..

It is not a good new that MS Titait has been arrested in Sisauli.

Firstly he should not say these type of words relating to castism. If he had said he should be adhere to these words. While a number of gathering is with him he should not surrender in his own village.

How many people would have been died if he have not surrendered? It may be possible that there may be war within the police personnels. Because this question is related to Jat and Chamar.

This type of incident hap happend in a few years back in Bharatpur. Now a heartly thank to our Maharaja Vishwendra Singh who had suppressed all the chamars and stood as a hero of Jats.

This is our weekness. Think before doing.
