Borat- boring (initially seemed intrstng but late failed to engage),,n well,,CHEAP..:rolleyes:

The Roman Holiday- Hero was charming;)..so was Audrey Hepburn:D
but then v had been filled on to all the following remakes/copies/inspirations..

Gone With The Wind- Fantastic movie--succeded in captivating u..the lead actress was a delight to watch..her histrionics/idiosyncracies/eccentriries/whims... absolutely amazing as well as amusing..
cud relate 2 her..:p;)

Fight Club- Wonderful piece of act...cud watch it in one single sitting,,fast paced....n of course, Brad Pitt was stunning!:)


Me,Myself N Irene- Gosh! GROSSSSSSSSSSS......Ugh!:o


Taxi Driver- Oops..its a crime-to luk so God-awesome!
n Robert De Niro was drop-dead handsome,,acted too wel-Raw,Rugged, maladriot, neanderthal

Cape Fear- N its a sin to look so repulsive
De Niro at the helm again! but acted sooo well, really scary n put-off!:eek:

Hey Baby-Hey Kabir--ur fraternity is increasing by the day:D,,this time even HT reviewer was paid,,as the TOI guy alwas is...

Johnny Gaddar- tight paced, keeps u wondering the next scene..

Third-rate crap! I don't know why this movie is considered to be a modern time classic. Now that you've developed (or have started developing, yeah, that's better:p;)) a taste, may I suggest you one: Pulp Fiction. Watch it, I know you'll enjoy it.

But I was pretty disappointed with this movie. Barring Akshay (and yeah Paresh at times) rest of them especially Vidya Balan, were pathetic in acting. Don’t know whats going wrong with Vidya Balan, she was superb in Parineeta and Munnbhai but lately in Hey Baby and BB, she was just so weak.

Anyway, besides all this, there was a glitch in the movie I found. If you recall there was this lady in their family who lost her voice long time back apparently on seeing a ghost. Now my hitch here is if it was all coz of Vidya Balan’s psychic issue then how come that lady lost her voice in past when Vidya Balan was no where in the scene. Does it mean that there was a real ghost there at that time? Don’t know..I would rate this movie 5 on 10.

I think Borat is a universally funny movie......but you might find it more funny if you are familiar with the American comedy scene......Sacha Baron Cohen - the guy who is Borat is a brilliant satirist - right up there with Stephen Colbert - another really funny guy. Borat is able to bring out the worst in ppl - from racism to sexism...etc etc.

Fight club - did'nt get the point......... they want to fight and get beat up.. and feel good about their bravado - which itself is fake.....but they donot want to do it with real guys on the street - gangstars - who would kick their ass for real. Bera naa ke pittan ki kachkachi uth rahi thi............. George Bush would make a great member of fight club......Osama - the real guy is in Afghanistan - he has a Fight Club setup in Iraq.
 
Sid's bang on the bull's eye, Deeps. You found Borat cheap coz you treated it as a sex comedy, which it wasn't.

It was a very commendable politico-social satire. Replete with fantastic dialogues, this film was a gem. My favorite was when Borat refers to Bush as a "warlord" and dubs his war on terror as "War of Terror".:D

Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara

Gud Movie... A story of an old intelligent man who's suffering from early dementia... the cause of which lies in a childhood trauma, which is related to the assasination of the Father of the Nation. A man's suffering, a daughter's love, understanding n committment, son's conflicts. Worth watching.

Am big fan of his unique classy styliz movies with an earthy feel! :cool:

Movies like Reservoir Dogs, Desperado, From dusk till dawn, pulp fiction, sin city & the latest one Deathproof ;)

Well, Death Proof is about a psychopathic stunt man who targets young women, murdering them with his "death proof" stunt car. I really liked the muscle cars of 70' like Mustang, Corvette, dodge, chevvy with grunt rockin exhaust note and the Wild cats...yeah! the Wild cats of the movie r amazin :p using F word in an artistic way :p hehehehhe....movie is too gud!!


I really admire the way Tarantion redefined use of F word in sucha artistic way.....awesome & Fantastic!! ;)

Total Crap!! Ranbir is awful.. terrible acting.....Sonam is not great either....but better than Ranbir....

However, it seemed to me, this could have been a better stage drama...like the sets etc ...seemed more apt for a stage performance ....BUT as a Bollywood movie ..it came as a big disappointment..!!
