i might be too late to reply to this post, but i totally agree with hemant, and I think, its too much MODERN education that is the cause of this , education is no remedy in this case,
well what i cant understand is, why do girls need so called "INDEPENDENCE', r they not free these days? dont they wear anything whatsoever they like (mini, ultra mini, micro, nano scale of cloths), well thats the INDEPENDENCE for them? so what do they want, i mean ultimately they have to get married or not?...well sound too rude, but no one wants to comment on bad side of this independence (except my friend hemant ), everyone wants to be in good books, ya education is must, and shud be given,
but why no one is raising any point on the way this education is corrupting their minds, well girls go to college, and i bet they come in contact with atleast one WESTERN minded girl, and then they too get new ideas, and not to mention about hostel life. I wont say that guys r allowed for this, but thing is its like saturation point for guys, so nothing happens, but for girls, when they r exposed to total INDEPENDENCE and FREEDOM, its like non-controllable situation.
I dont know whats the remedy, its just the mentality that needs to be changed, politicians talk about reservation for women, cool stuff for votes, when i used to stand in long line for tickets at railway station, and then some woman wud come with her hubby, and her hubby wud simply give the money to her, so that she can just go to the front, and get the ticket, well no one can stop u see...coz she is a woman !!, u talk about equality, then y this discrimination, stop considering girls as someone special, or someone differend, coz we all are equal these days, so whats the point in reservation, and more imp, whats the point in raising only such issues related to girls, well its like girls dont want to drop their so called 'special' status, and at the same time wants to enjoy equality, thats not fair,
the other day i read a lot about dowry and marraige, good stuff to discuss, but no one discuss about marraige that fail coz of 'MODERN" and 'INDEPENDENT" attitude of girl, the so popular 'dowry' point misused by girl and girl family to sort of blackmail boy's family , it do happen, and its all the part of 'special' status and 'freedom of thoughts' girls have these days. many of these 'modern' girl, after landing in sasural, the first step they wanna do is to move away with her hubby, coz they dont wanna see old guys in her place, so whats the remedy, certainly not 'EDUCATION' ...
if any body feels hurted, sorry for that, i just dint sleep last night (exam days), so writing whatever coming to my mind ..

mujhe jindagi ka itana jyada experience to nahi he...lekin itana jaroor jaanata hoon ki girls kitani bhi educated ho ,gents unako kabhi bhi unase ooper bardaast nahi ker pate he....hamare jat samaz me abhi bhi ladakiyo se dowry maangi jati he...

fir aaj kal ladakiya padane likhne ke naam pe ...western culture ki taraf chali jati he....usaka kya?....me maanata hoon ki western culture bahoot free he...cool he...party-sarty...disco-wisco..kya he ye sab?....abhi aap log ye mat bolna ki jab ladaka ye sab ker sakata he to ldaki kyon nahi.......karo na isame kya he....lekin aap logo me se kitane pariwar aale aise he jo usaki wife ko byav ke baad disco le ke jaate he...ya kitane log aise he jo byav ke baad unaki wife ko jeans ke liye allow kerte he........muskil se 10% bhi nahi honge aise...US ki baat chhodo...wo to waise hi fokat culture wala desh he...yaha hamare India ki baat karo.....ladak usaki wife ko ghumane le jayega to usaki (ladaki) ki saas mana ker degi...ya fir kuchh bhi...lekin byav ke baad sia hota nahi he.....kyon?...jab ladaki itana pad likh ke aisse kisi jail me chali jati he to fir usake padane ka kya matlab he.......

waise me ek baat ye bhi kahoonga ladakiyo ke liye ki chahe wo kitana bhi pad likh le....kuchh bhi job karti ho....lekin hamare ghar ki laaj to ye ladakiya hi hoti he...kabhi wo chahe wo mammy ho,bahan ho ,bhabhi ho........khooob modern bano...lekin ek limit tak hi thik rahata he...ladaki me pade likhe hone ke saath sharam -haya ho to sone pe suhaga wali baat hoti he....usako hamere culture ko nahi bhoolana chahiye....
