good thing happenend to the little kid
we should not think anything about the kid in those lines what ever community he is from
ooskoo to bechaare ko paata bhii nahi hoga ki kyaa ho raha hai
wht game is going on in his name

but these cheap politicians they always do such cheap stunts
2 lac is not a big sum in todays world they could give it in person also without making so fuss
ek bimaar aadmi, gareeb aadmi, or sports man ko to dene ke liye inke pass 1000 rupalli bhii naa hoti jo bechaara mehnaat kaartaa hai raat dinn ,,,i know so many who inspite of working hard spending miserable life in haryana only

this rescue operation could also have been a secret one making it easy for the rescuers

but these politicians never miss chance of catching this cheap popularity
all are the same jus not congress ,,though they are the worst
n indian people ..emotional *****
fell into their trap
army people do various jobs of this sort n even better
but do they ever go ,,,,where there is no vote bank ,,those things ever come in limelight?? ..no

Interesting

Dear Members,
I have been following discussion on this thread. It is interesting to know ths episode and the effort the agencies took to rescue the child. There are a few questions though.
1. As Col Malik has said that a Lt. Gen. taking the child to his mother. I agree with him, a soldier should have been given the honor, but I guess our Gen may be looking for some publicity for himself and may be a political position for his soon retiring future. Who knows?

2. Giving Rs. 2 Lakhs to the family. Since I did not watch the news live (my only source is this site) I really don't know, what message this donation would carry to the public. Would it amount to people risking their children, to attract media and eventually the benefit of Rs. 2 Lakhs. While saving the life of the child was an excellent thing, rewarding the family with this much money may carry a message that their is reward for negligence. The parents of the child should be held accountable, for not taking care of their child and may be questioned and if found negligent, may be punished. But that would amount to losing the votes of the community to which this child belongs.

3. The next point has come about the condition of roads in Harayana. Well, as I have said that my only source of information is this web site) I feel, if the roads are repaired and prepared well, they don't go bad in two years. Mr. Hooda has been in the chair for less than two years I guess. So, blaming him for every thing that is bad or not existing may not be the right thing to do. However the point is as to what has he done to improve it? Mr. Hooda's supporters will come out with his achievements while his distractors would come out wiht his failures. The problem is, that more often than not the views are biased based on the political affiliations.

On this forum, where we discuss every thing, we as members must rise above party affiliations and give an objective analysis of the subject matter.

I don't understand, when Mr. Bansilal could do so much when Harayana was a newly created state, how come our administration is failing since then, inspite of better means of communication available to adminsitrators to implement the policies and even monitor them.

The universal answer is Corruption. But, then what are we doing about it. Is the politician corrupt or that "Bureaucrat" who is more permanent than the politician. He is the one, who can improve the things if he is honest. Can we find honest administrators?

Is it this for the first time that govt. has given some money in compensation?

Oh, you guys are surprised because compensations are given only for loss of life or serious physical disability and this little boy has lost nothing which can be visible. I know it is hard to even imagine what he has gone through. what his parents have gone through. Impression of the trauma on his innocent mind may remain through out his life.

Wasn't the pain and suffering the little boy had gone through was the result of failure of local govt agency, to be precise the Panchayat or some public or health department. Shouldn't he be compensated for that irrespective of his backround.

Some of you have written that since parents have been paid Rs.200,000, they will allow him fall in some borewell again. Isn't pathetic to think like that?
They may be poor but love their kids as much as any rich parents if not more. Kya ab vo bacha khelana chhod de?

"Kissi ka dard mil sake to le udhaar,
kissi ke vaste ho tere dil mein pyaar,
Jeena issi ka naam hai"

Of-course, the media, specially the 24 hours news channels need some stories like this to fill the gaps. They try to sensatioalise every thing. Any human tragdy is a story for them. BUT, Why to blame the poor boy and his parents for the unscruplous one-upmanship of the media.

okey, he suffered b'coz of fault of Govt., but sir dont you think that 2 lakh is a hefty amount for that suffering which is relatively nthin to mental sufferings of widows and parents of soldiers? or isnt it equally important to punish the dept. due to which 'Zindagi ka rajkumar' and govt. suffered?
Apart from the victim hell lot of money is distributed among inspectors, army people, even near by sugarmill workers. 20 lakh bucks are goin to be invested in that village, which is only good outcme from whole saga.
compensation is a secondary objective, initially its the action against theculprit.
Dont you think that culprit dept. should be fined for all the money govt. spent here?

very right sir
i agree with ur views
we must not debate here on behalf of a specific political group even if anybody is a supporter of that particular group
moreover this corruption starts not from jus by politicians it goes down to bureaucrats police officers other officers & down to the constable on a post or traffic havaldar
so we must think & improve each one of us & the surrounding from the grass root level
the media can do better job in this field ,rathar then covering politically motivated tantrums & dramas
regards
