Interesting
Dear Members,
I have been following discussion on this thread. It is interesting to know ths episode and the effort the agencies took to rescue the child. There are a few questions though.
1. As Col Malik has said that a Lt. Gen. taking the child to his mother. I agree with him, a soldier should have been given the honor, but I guess our Gen may be looking for some publicity for himself and may be a political position for his soon retiring future. Who knows?
2. Giving Rs. 2 Lakhs to the family. Since I did not watch the news live (my only source is this site) I really don't know, what message this donation would carry to the public. Would it amount to people risking their children, to attract media and eventually the benefit of Rs. 2 Lakhs. While saving the life of the child was an excellent thing, rewarding the family with this much money may carry a message that their is reward for negligence. The parents of the child should be held accountable, for not taking care of their child and may be questioned and if found negligent, may be punished. But that would amount to losing the votes of the community to which this child belongs.
3. The next point has come about the condition of roads in Harayana. Well, as I have said that my only source of information is this web site) I feel, if the roads are repaired and prepared well, they don't go bad in two years. Mr. Hooda has been in the chair for less than two years I guess. So, blaming him for every thing that is bad or not existing may not be the right thing to do. However the point is as to what has he done to improve it? Mr. Hooda's supporters will come out with his achievements while his distractors would come out wiht his failures. The problem is, that more often than not the views are biased based on the political affiliations.
On this forum, where we discuss every thing, we as members must rise above party affiliations and give an objective analysis of the subject matter.
I don't understand, when Mr. Bansilal could do so much when Harayana was a newly created state, how come our administration is failing since then, inspite of better means of communication available to adminsitrators to implement the policies and even monitor them.
The universal answer is Corruption. But, then what are we doing about it. Is the politician corrupt or that "Bureaucrat" who is more permanent than the politician. He is the one, who can improve the things if he is honest. Can we find honest administrators?
