Atamjeet ji, the seed of nuclear plant was, perhaps, sown much before BJP Governments.VPSinghji maano koni aap bhi.....
dont know which kind of vision you are talking about
The vision i was talking about was making India a nuclear power, electing the APJ Kalam as president....
Recognising the need of strong defence sturcture..Moral of defense personnel is lowest under this government, taking in confidence neighbouring countires.. ULFA terrorist were executed in Bhutan while Naga rebels network was destroyed in Burma..Keeping in check foreign policies of SriLanka...Developing and Indian Airforce base in Tajikistan...
These are some of the steps taken by previous government in developing India as Superpower.
Aap ne ghana bera hoga aap government servant ho.... Mera analysis to yo hi ke Congress ne kewal kursi te matlab hai... chahey desh ka kimi hoo..
The iron lady Indira Gandhi was much more conscious about India's defence requirements. Our nuclear and other defence research programmes were very much in existence during her regime. It is a continued process and keeps going on with additions and extensions during all regimes irrespective of any political party. How could a country like ours be oblivious of the external threats after two full scale invasions by our neighbours (1962 China, 1971 Pakistan). Therefore, the genesis of our nuclear programme dates back to Congresss Era. The success cannot be attributed to Shri Kalam only. The decision to appoint him as President was, however, appreciable and I admire Shri Kalam's vision and contribution in extending the research programmes already in hand.
Defence Services being indispensable, it is every government's compulsion as well as moral duty to keep the morale of its defence personnel always high. That is what Congresss has also done by giving them some extra benefits in the last Pay Commission Report's Review.
As for keeping the neighbouring countries in confidence, it has always been part of our Foreign Policy which has been pursued continuially by all successive governments without any paradigm shift.
Frankly I have no idea how the foreign policies of Sri Lanka were kept in check. You may like to elaborate further.
Execution of ULFA Terrorists: Again, it was an extension of war already waged by the previous government. BJP, however, could not wipe out ULFA single-handedly. Credit goes to Bhutan also with whom good friendly relations were cultivated over decades by the previous governments. How far BJP succeeded in wiping out terrorism in Kashmir is a question mark. Even if you give full marks to BJP, you have to give full marks to Congress also for Opereration Blue Star and end of militancy in Punjab which was not a mean achievement of Indira Gandhi for which she had to sacrifice her life.
Tajikistan air base: Military cooperation with other countries and joint exercises are, again, continued processes which are kept out of public domain.
India as a super power: I have no reason to doubt the intention of the UPA Govt. to make India a Super Power. Let us see how far do they succeed.
Kursi for 'matlab' : In Indian politics, I see very few 'saints' with a mission of 'self-less service' of the country. Majority of politicians in all the parties (Congress included) are in politics with ulterior motives of personal gratification. Majority of them are corrupt and their mission is just to perpetuate their hegemony, acquire political influence, get high positions in government jobs for their relatives, and groom their sons/daughters to be future politicians. Most of them give a damn to the country/voters once they come to power and simply mint money, flaunt their influence, richness and muscle power while moving around in SUVs escorted by musclemen and the security staff.
