Amit Chillar ji is right as per the designation and post of professor goes.
It takes at least 20-25 years of teaching experience in a university environment to be promoted as a professor. You may find some departments in a university without the post of a professor.
I am sure degree colleges with only bachelor courses woudn't have a position for a professor!
My eldest bother has served as a lecturer for almost 29 years and got retired as a Principal but was never eligible to be promoted as a professor.Because the post of a professor doesn't eist in a Degree College! I have seen his collegues calling him as professor saheb and vice versa.

I remember people addressing late Shri Sher singh (Proff) who had served the central cabinet as deputy and State minister was always known as professor Sher singh, who in fact was not a professor.

bas ye ek riwaj sa ho gaya hai college lecturer ko Proffessor address karne ka.

On the other side my father in law has never been into property business I wish he had done some though, he has a 250 sqyrd house in housing board Rohtak and he has a PHD in animal nutrition from HAU but would really appriciate if somebody enlightens me if (Prof) Sampat was really a PROFESSOR in some university (remeber it takes years to be a prof, what was he teaching by the way)

All the examples you have given seems to be autonomous bodies and wouldn't come under UGC guide lines Except, Delhi college of Engineering which is obviously is the part of Delhli University

All Indian Universities follow three tier system

Lecture-Reader(associate professors), --Professors.
I have nothing against Choudhry sampat Singh.
But, could you please give me a single example from degree college from( other than these autonomous Institutes), or even DN college Hissar or Jat college?
I have lived in Rohtak for many years that have 6-7 degree colleges but am sure no post of a professor!

lekin mera point yeh nahi hai ki kisi ko professor prove karu..... lekin baat yeh hai ki ek worthy (??) member yeh siddh karney pe tula hai ki prof sampat singh shud nt be called prof becayse he was lecturer ..... but very good example u have given for prof virender singh ..thanks for this example....... now i am sure dat mr chiller will not dare to call mr virender singh as GAOM KA COMPOUNDER TURNED DOCTOR.... kyunki Beri mein election bhi jeetna hai aur wo electon hooda ji aur unke kareebi logo ke bina mushkil hai....... so prof virender wll remain prof...others ar all lecturers.......


he is also raising concerns on PHDs of others whereas for his father in law PHD is real PHD rest all have got by someone else giving their exams...............

do u think the statements by Amit Chhillarr earlier on a couple of occasions in this thread were acceptable? wud he tolerate anything bad said about Mr Kadian who happens to be his wife's father? there is no end to cheap talks that unnecessarily destroy reputation of well known figures. i don't think i'll be a part of somebody's r**e here n so i wud refrain myself from talking things about well-known and well-respected people. i've been silent all this while reading Amit Chillarr's utterly envious posts.

n look at this fellow's attitude: he first tells someone "not to be sorry if one is not really sorry" and later on he himself repeats this very chintzy behaviour with me(colored in brown, down). shameless. sorry im not game.
