My friend, At the moment all this is very hypothetical about investment. Investment will always pour in as long as there is an infrastructure there for it. Right now Modi govt needs to focus on controlling inflation and improving infrastructure. Otherwise nobody will invest. FYI : FDI in India during UPA govt tenure:

Acche din are only for RSS, BJP and other right wing elements. Economy grew more than what you have mentioned in the past. Therefore lets not hype all this to credit Just only MODI. Previous govt also played a bigger role in this spurt of economy. UPA govt ran several programs and approved many projects in last year of the govt and that is the result we are seeing now.

My friend, as I previously said, nothing unprecedented about Modi US tour in terms of investment. But yes hype of the whole tour was unprecedented. There is no inclination or anything. Investors always look for better profits at a lower risk. Before approaching Investors, Modi needs do the ground work first. As we already know, he is in power for few months and his first budget was also a damp squib and disappointed investors both locally and globally. Therefore come out of this bubble and focus reality my friend. We still have very poor infra. Before Bullet trains we need local trains my friend. This list goes on and on. Instead of boasting on UPA programs like Mars missions etc, Modi needs to focus on work. At the moment he is busy in rallies in two states instead of focusing on major issues going on in the country. Ceasefire violations are on rise and Modi is just busy in lecturing during rallies in different states. Where is 56 inch CHEST? What happened to it? Pakistan bomb shelling is going on and we haven't heard a single word from this PM. Not a tweet. We are seeing now true colors of Modi. All lecture and nothing else.

I was telling you about the most successful PMs visit, or clarifying that Modi's visit was nothing more than a PR stunt. It was not too hard for you to understand, was it?

Right- US, or any other country will never pour in money until they get something in return and similarly we will never allow them to come until we get something in return. My question is, who is getting more in return and who is on the losing end? What did Modi get for India, besides opening a free market for US? I am sure you understood the question in the first go, but because you did not have an answer you dodged the question entirely.


On Obama, I think you or Modi bhakts have a habbit of undermining the elected representatives. Same you did with MMS, and same with Obama, until they go they are the supreme leaders and just because their popularity is going down(like modi) doesn't mean you will start to treat them any less.

On Corporate bosses- he met all those people who have businesses in India already with heavy investments- wonder what did he achieve by that? Also Nokia and Yahoo! have closed shops in India, Any thoughts Mr. Investing expert?

India has always been a big market and so was it before Modi became PM. Why were then Americans complaining during last three years ? How come there is positive perception after Modi came ?

MMS got the deal or Bush gave the deal to win India away from Russia ? Be honest and accept the truth. If MMS was such a great negotiator, how come He could not save the honor of Divyani Khobragade and stop the maid from being smuggled to USA ?

Even if Modi's visit was a good PR job, what is wrong with that ? Isn't good PR a prerequisite to bigger things?

Could MMS get hold of David Hedley from Americans ? Could MMS get any commitment on Pakistani terrorists? Hasn't Modi been able to get quite a few of Pakistani Jihadis blacklisted ? When did you hear last time a joint Indo-US statement against China? Have you forgotten when US and China were talking of G2 during Obama's last tenure?

Let us assume for a moment that MMS got the nuclear deal by arm twisting Bush and Americans peed in their pants on hearing MMS name. How come Australia, an US ally refused to supply Uranium to India even after nuclear deal? How come same Australia came running not only with U-supply deal but with Indian artifacts as well ?

Nothing wrong in being a congress bhakt, but give credit to others as well, when they really deserve.

Hatred stretched to extreme can be quite blinding. Will you please enlighten us what free market Modi gave to Americans which is otherwise closed to rest of the world ? All Modi has been saying is that " make in India" and offer is open to all.

Yahoo is a sick horse and sooner or later has to close not only in India but world over. If Yahoo has moved jobs elsewhere from India, please let us know. Same is about Nokia. Nokia is facing heat from cheaper devices from Chinese and others. Nokia is on its way out purely because of economics. Once again if Nokia is shifting elsewhere from India, please educate us.

If Gujaratis are the only one who like Modi, then Modi should not have got any seat outside Gujarat. However, you know the truth. That should puncture your Gujarati only attendance at Medison Sq. If it was only a Gujarati affair, what those 30 congressmen were doing in Medison Sq. ? As far as your American friends are concerned, I accept that. Average American does not know even the name of Chinese president or Japanese PM or even the president of Mexico and PM of Canada who are just next door. If you don't trust, please take an honest survey and find out for yourself.
