If you remember around 2 yrs back we were talking abut 9% growth rate Dollar was at Rs. 39 & we were expecting that around Rs. 35. In economic slowdwon entire world has crashed companies like GM AIG etc completely gone down, still no effect in India other then IT and export oriented Units, when countires like spain are degrowing we r growing at 7.5% (7.28% already aachieved).
We r maintaining a population of around 120 crs. city like delhi having population of more then a crore, i think picture ban gayi ab poori kuch baki ho to aap jod dena.

Now tell me do u think ki govt k pass jadu ki chadi hai jo ghuma k sab thik kar degi rato raat.
Ab ye sab thik kaise hoga ??: jyada kuch nahi CPSE's are having funds which constitute 40% of our GDP iskey disinvestment se jo paisa aayega wo inhi jagah me jayega, main stress is on Infra. as per our honourable FM's speech.

Ab kitna nichey tak jayega aur iska kya fayda hoga ye to sirf waqt bata sakta hai.

I used to work with a big IT company and there was a Associate VP who was my manager's manager. He used to say that with arguments one can prove or dis-prove anything. It's the same thing here too. People just find few things without going into totality. Though we are the 2nd largest wheat producer but we consume more than we produce. We still are a net importer of wheat. Last year we even imported sugar whereas we used to export it in the past.

Now if we say that we have a 7.5% growth rate which is more than developed countries than that itself is not a right way to compare or feel elated.
India's per capita electricity consumption is 503 kWh, USA per capita consumption is 13502 kWh; more than 20 times. There are more roads in California alone than in the entire India combined. Obviously these developed countries have already grown in terms of infrastructure so their growth is now slowed down. I dont think agriculture is growing anymore in India. The growth is mainly coming from Infrastructure projects.

Now is this growth benefiting the poorest of poor people. The answer is a big NO. In India if you compare the salary of a factory worker you will find out that they get approx 4000 Rs. Whereas a manager in the same company fetches close to 50,000 Rs. Even a software Engineer with 10 yrs experience gets 100,000 per month. No where one sees such kind of difference in terms of salaries. Whereas the gap should not be more than 8 or 9 times. This growth rate is benefiting middle class and rich people in India but is not benefiting the poor section. We have to realize that we still have around 40% people living below poverty line. And in the last decade the number of poors have increased instead of decreasing because the purchasing power of rupees has gone down whereas income of poor people has not increased in the same proportion.

You know Raj bhai, problem is that when we discuss our problems, we try to compare with US / European countries whereas the truth is that we are not in a state where we can compare with these countries whether it;s an economic recession or not. The entire stock market is driven by FIIs. When there was economic downturn, you know how the stocks crashed. UNITECH which was at 500 Rs plus came down to 20 Rs and is now at 70 Rs. I have already mentioned few things about growth rate figure. We can not compare in anyway with the USA despite the country being in recession - their defence spending itself is going to be 685 billion USD this year whereas ours is close to 40 billion USD. USA ki GDP 14 billion USD hai or hamari 1.2 billion USD hai. Obviously if there is a growth of even 100 billion we will say ki 10% growth ho gayee, now compare that with even 3% growth rate of USD and you will see that they have grown more in terms of actual numbers.

Par bhai hum to wohi mudde dekhenge jo hamme affect karte hai. Corruption is the main bottleneck in overall progress of the country, and it affects us directly. Bhai mann to mhara bhi karta hoga ki koi DDA ka flat ya HUDA ka plot nikal aaye lottery mei, par ib susre har allotment mei scam kar de to affect to hamare jaise par hi pade jinke koi connection nahi hai.

Do you want to say that growth rate doesn't affects you?????? or you dont want to see that, as you wish to count only demerits of India, pls clarify..............
 
It definitely affects me and in a positive way. At the same time it has not improved the lives of many of my relatives who are in villages and who dont have large pieces of land, they were in much better shape 15 years back with the same piece of land than these days. Also, I get impacted directly with corruption. Dont you think govt knows about this black money going in real estate?

Last year Chief Justice of India declared a plot of 444 sq yd in Faridabad and he declared its present value as 4.5 Lacs. You believe that? The link is on SC website:

Ek baat aur. My frustration is not with the growth rate. I am happy with that, my frustration is with the results of this growth rate not reaching till the level they should reach. It's not inclusive in my opinion. It is helping to increase the divide between rich and poor further instead of decreasing it. Why inspite of being the exporter of Sugar we are importing it this year, why it is selling at 47. Why farmers have to resort to Suicide in Vidharbha in last several years, why the farmers were unable to pay the debt back or govt ko 65000 crore ke farmers loans maaf karne pade? There are so many whys inspite of having high growth rates in GDP.... Still 60% people live in villages and depends on agriculture which is getting neglected by govt. That;s where I have problem. That;s why I don't appreciate the high GDP growth rate straightaway.

Also, I am a victim of this black money floating around in real estate. When I was in india I was never able to purchase a decent flat or plot in gurgaon and let me tell you I tried very hard. Everyone asked for black component and then one has to have 20 - 25% in white to avail loan and you know I never had enough cash to pay in black. So, I get impacted directly with corruption. bhai i m telling you an very interesting fact abut black money, when this AIG was crashed the there was an roumro that ICICI is also going to bankcorrupt then an explanation came etc etc etc.........
That time an survey was made that whay indian banking industry was not bankcourrupt as reality prices here also gone down. Reason was: due to black money loans were disbursed by bank at very less value then the actual market price (value shown was less then actual MV) & when prices gone down still MV of those was more then the loan disbursed...............

Er bhai inflation k saath-2 eb fasal thodey hi badh sake se. 15 saal pahley 8000 ki suthri jhotti aaya karti eb 40 ki aawe se par doodh 12-14 rupiye killo tha eb 32 se.

You are very correct on why Indian banking industry did not get impacted. But at the same time it gives an opportunity to corrupt officials and businessman's who dont pay taxes to invest in property and discourages honest people who dont have black money from buying a house. Basically it encourages more corruption as it gives a good avenue of hiding that black money.

Er bhai doodh bhale hi 32 ho gaam mei eg bhi dhoodhiya 16 - 18 Rs mei hi khareed ke lawe hai. Kyunki jhoti khareedne ke liye or or kisi kaam ke liye wey doodhiya se rupay udhar le le ar pher unhe saste daam mei bechna pade. इस दुनिया में इस बात का बहुत महत्व है कि इंसान ने क्या किया, इस बात का कोई विशेष महत्व नहीं है कि वो अमीर था या गरीब. श्रीराम तो 14 साल तक घोर गरीबी में रहे. क्या होता है जंगल में रहना, समझते हो? वहाँ बारिश भी आएगी, गर्मी भी पड़ेगी, सर्दी भी पड़ेगी. कहाँ नहाओगे, कहाँ कपड़े धोओगे? बहुत मुश्किल है जंगल में रहना, गरीबी रेखा से नीचे रहने वाले लोगों की जिंदगी से भी ज्यादा मुश्किल. गुरु नानक कहाँ अमीर था? बुद्ध तो बिलकुल गरीब होकर जंगल में चला गया था. महावीर ने भी कुछ ऐसा ही किया था. गांधी तो ठेठ कंगाली में रहा. मैं ये नहीं कह रहा कि हमें गरीबी दूर करने के प्रयास नहीं करने चाहिए, लेकिन पश्चिमी देशों और वर्ल्ड बैंक जैसी संस्थाओं को ऐसी बातें नमक-मिर्च लगाकर पेश नहीं करनी चाहिए. अगर वे ऐसा करेंगे तो फिर हम भी उनसे ये पूछेंगे कि उन्होंने अमीर और तथाकथित विकसित होकर क्या पहाड़ तोड़ दिए?
हम गरीबी दूर करने के प्रयास कर रहे हैं. हमने अपने अस्तित्व को बचाने के लिए 947 साल तक संघर्ष किया है. हमें आज़ाद हुए सिर्फ 62 साल हुए हैं. सैकड़ों साल की क्षतिपूर्ति करने में समय तो लगेगा ही.
