ever heard of towmahawk missiles wch were 1st used in america's war on saddam hussain's iraq. this missile is so devastating tht it can even change its course several times before reaching the target. its laser-guided nd so precise tht it can even pass through a football goalpost while chasing its target. :D

Nuclear war is not at all a good idea. What will we achieve as a result of a nuclear war? Heaps of corpses, orphaned children with horror of war writ large over their faces, wounded and handicapped people and above all a wounded humanity. And what will be the repurcussions of a nuclear war? World has witnessed Hiroshima and Nagasaki and knows what it entails. And if a nuclear war happens today it will be even more deadly. So better not think on those lines. Otherwise the very existence of us humans will be threatened on earth. As a result of WW1 a hitler was born. Such wars are not a way to peace.

Setting our house in order is not a bad idea. Terrorism and other such evils come into being because of various reasons. And dont just talk of pakistan backed terrorism. Terrorism is home born too...why do we forget naxalism which has become such a big threat to our nation. Can we think of nuclear war against it? No we cant !! If we are to annihilate something then why dont we annihilate those very factors which cause such evils to come into force. Lets annihilate poverty, injustice, unemployment and inequality. Lets figure out the causes behind such unrest and try to annihilate them. Lets set our house in order.

Then again, after setting our house in order, it will not be a guarantee that terrorism will not be there. It originates on the foreign soil and then comes to threaten us. But cant we do something about it? Of course we can do. We can make our defence stronger and fool proof. We have many loopholes and terrorists take advantage of those very loopholes. We must try to get rid of them. During the mumbai terror attack..it took hours for the commandos to reach to the spot from delhi. During the meantime the terrorists took the key positions and inflicted maximum damage. How can we talk of war when our own system is so faulty at present.

Can we really say that after a full on war against terror, after so called nuclear war, we will have a terror free world?? No!! its like hoping against hope!! There is no guarantee that such evils will not rise their heads in future.

Cant agree more !

We should stop looking for quick fix solutions and should also avoid such lines of action which endanger the very existence of mankind.

Lets be patient and instead of thinking about playing death games to fight terrorism, we must make our system immune and less prone to such things.

We can never completely wipe of the bad - history is the biggest witness !
 
Operation "Tagda Ghoonsa"

poonam's post is just "picture perfect"... i agree in totality. however, now comes the big question as to how this would be achieved? let yr thots go round and round nd eventually the buck stops at these crooked indian politicians. :mad:

my suggestion wch agn is the repetition of my previous thots where-in i mentioned abt operation "tagda ghoonsa" is - to begin with... let's emulate israel, wch as you all know is a country wch did not have a geographical existence before 1948 is now continuing to show the way on how to respond to terrorism. whenever an israeli citizen or national interest is threatened by terrorists, the response by isiraeli govt is swift nd decisive. they strike at the terrorist bases wherever they are, ignoring standard international conventions nd borders. wherever the enemies of israelis were hiding, the state located them nd brought them to justice. we all know where the masterminds of terror - dawood ibrahim, maulana masood azhar, hafiz mohd. sayeed nd others are. we know the locations of terrorist camps in POK to quite an extent... if not get more precise locations. we know where terrorists are in bangladesh nd how they launch nd orchestrate terrorist attacks agnst india. we've the wherewithal to neutralize them. what we sadly lack is the courage and political will do so.

ham ye kar denge ham wo kar denge... fact of the matter is hona hana kuchh nahin nd dust will eventually settle down. well this is on our side of the border... going on the other side, we've been threatened by this “nuke” bogey for far too long, time nd again. wat is pak doing or did to US when it is/was getting constantly hit on the west side?... anyways here’s my plan.

:D my action plan operation "tagda ghoonsa" :D

1. invite pak ambassador nd other key dignitaries over some nice chai nd samosas... also serve afgani, kababi nd shababi pig tikaas. :p
2. tell them politely but firmly tht pak shud hand over dawood, masood, hafiz etc etc. also tell them tht even internationally these guys have been labeled as terrorists/criminals nd pak shud hand over them immediately. ISI shud also be brought under civilian control. this is a take-it-or-leave-it offer.
3. if they agrees to 2 (then probably pigs will start flying ??:D), no war no surgical strikes no violence. every1 can go home nd India strengthens its border security nd integrity nd sovereignty nd what not.
4. most probably they won’t agree to “give” anyone to india. then we should start surgical strikes at LeT nd JeM camps in POK and NA (not too frequent but enduring at the rate of only 1-2 per week). india shud use zardari’s statement tht pak is also a “victim” of terror nd tell him tht it is not against pak govt but in fact helping the govt (and country) by “taking out” terror wch the govt itself can’t take out. the same thing shud be told to the “world” as justification for these strikes. he shud be told agn politely but firmly tht even if he uses 1 N-bum agnst any city his country will be history.

offcourse, while doing so we must ensure tht USA nd israel are taken into confidence... fair enuff ;) now those who concur, pls add the missing lines in my abv post with further suggestions to ensure operation "tagda ghoonsa" is a runaway success. ;):D;)

no need to go nuclear, just adopt chanakya neeti... let's break the centuries old tradition that "india n'vr invaded any country, first" let's re-define history nd last but not the least "let's create the HISTORY" ;)
