We are Missing the Issue Once Again!
Dear Members,
Like many other posts on this website, we are once again missing the point.
As I understood, the point raised by the author of this thread was " he was pained that a person fully knowing that he and his friends were from Haryana/speaking haryanvi language, searched only their wallet", This group felt that the security man being from "Jat" community and "Haryana" did not expect these people to be educated and thus searched them while he let others who spoke in English or any other language go.
What we are finally discussing here is "Love of people for Haryanvi Language" whether or not they have conncetion with their native village, and even rediculing people who can't speak good Haryanvi.
Let me give my two cents here once again:
1. The most difficult task a person does is to make a decision. It is purely because of this reason, the decision makers are paid better than others.
2. How do we make decision? What goes on in decision making? and by the way "Who makes a wrong decision knowingly"?
3. The decision is arrived after consideing certain factors pertinent to the situation.
4. There are two type of information that a person can consider, while evaluating a factor: "One" Known information (it comes from the training one gets, that is what we teach in training in various professions), and "Two" Revealed information: (that is what the decision maker actually sees at the point of incident)
5. To make a decision whether or not he/she should act for or against, at the place of incident, he/she tries to match the "known information with the revealed information".
Let us grant to the security man, that he took his decision based on the training he received, the comparision he made between the known information and the revealed information, and off course to his judgement that he arrived at after analyzing the various factors.
I think the author of the thread, has also come to this decision that probably, the security man did not respect his own people, based on the similar analysis.
To me the security man was on duty. He did his duty to the best of his ability and to which he needs to be commended. While we are in such a position (and let me tell you I have had enough experience of this subject) where the one and all search may be time consuming and detrimental to the entire process's success, and a selective search is to be done, making a judgment as to whom to search and whom not to search is an extremely difficult task.
In this situation, if you delay the proceedings un-necessarily, you are considered inefficient, and if you have a lapse in security, you are considered incompetent, that is the dilema a person has to handle.
So, kindly be respectful to the security man and his actions. Probably many of us in his situation might have (some people are not very happy with these word though) done the same thing. It has nothing to do with "insult to a particual language or culture".
And once again, please concentrate on the issue and don't digress.
Good Luck.
