my dear friend u ve nt responded to my previous posts n explanations. Comparing India with west is like comparing apples n oranges. dear accept d realty.
You are right ankur but let me explain why these stats are not completely wrong.
Even if I take that 70% of Indian are in rural India where is such cases go unreported and add more 70% to existing numbers, still the number is multifold lesser than Aus or US or UK.

I think that number of gang-rapes or rapes with minor can give batter idea. As far as case of Assange is considered, American establishment is involved in that otherwise prosecution is not so easy. MR BANA; but its not worse comparing India. as far assange is concerned, Swedish laws r more strict around defining rape, even after consent, a woman can make claims. in our laws, its not a case. so without any provision in law u can;t prosecute anyone my friend.Neither all cases of rape are reported in west nor all reported cases of rape in India are genuine, so people have to rely upon statistics for comparison. Mr. Bana; Case is not ridiculous. As I said in my previous post, without a provision in law, you cannot prosecute anyone. If you read the allegations on Assange, they make sense as per Swedish Laws because they have provisions in law. Whereas our laws are old British legacy. We wake up when something happens. othrwz we keep on sleeping all the time. Very late, we wake after Delhi rape case and that only because that incident got a nation wide/world wide media attention. Otherwise, brutal things happen in India all the time but not all of them get the attention from Media. If we get life only once, then what's wrong in it to go for maximum pleasure. Able people can buy the best women, but what about the 'have nots'. They will try to grab forcefully. Please someone prove to me also that we get life only once, I will also try to enjoy some 15-16 year old pieces howsoever. Mostly people say they are sure deeds matter nothing. If you do good deeds then no avail, result of life will be same. If you do bad deeds, then too result of life will be same.

Lemme try to ans some as per my understanding :

This problem can not be put across on the basis on class . However reason why this so called lower class was mentioned coz in many of recent cases they were the culprits . But that does not mean in other classes such crimes does not happen may not get reported out of family n society pressure .
This is the fact lower class is more frustrated than any other frustration lead to anger n so on . We all get this advice from elder ones - never to get into argument with these lower strata kinda people .
Though this class is not the only reason .

Auto ka not much clue , but there were incidents happend in GGN crime happened in Audi or BMW i guess . Khabar zaroor aaye but koi pakda gaya ya nahi woh nahi pata .
If I m not wrong , for somebody driving SUV - they know they would get away with something like this so who cares . For Auto walas , no body give a damn about their lives

My guess middle , coz lower may not have such means ------upper not aware of any basic issues of society . Moreover it is always middle class who get worried , cribs as they think about future , system. They are the only one who understands basic needs .

I think that some of brutal gang-rape may represent contempt in a section of lower classes toward extravagant upper classes. Rapid economic growth in India is accompanied by increasing socio-economic disparities. People of upper-middle strata are finding new avenues of progress, on the contrary destitution of lower class is increasing. Cultural factors(dresses,etc) sharpen this existing divide. Human nature can't be termed as black(evil) or white(pure) but different shades of gray. So it's not surprising that a section of lower strata migrants are indulging in brutal rapes, because of frustration/jealousy/lust/anger caused by vulgar display of wealth and beauty. I think that different combination of rage,contempt, frustration, deprivation are always factors in rape which is true for upper and middle class too.
