A little off-topic - I have always wondered that even buffaloes give milk to us but they are never called as Mother as we do for cows..why? Is it just coz they are black and we only want White maa

Also, why buffaloes are rarely seen on the roads while cows can be found anywhere eating the polythenes. Where do they go after there first level of use by humans- straight to leather manufacturers?

All animals are NOT part of food chain. They are MADE as part of food chain.
Humans can actually survive being herbivorous...some animals just cannot. I wish the food chain concept was applicable to them only. Anyways... one should do as one likes... but being a Hindu and the love and affection for our holy cow I would not support beef at least in a hindu state.

Let me share an interesting happening here

Ek baar maie gaam ja reha tha to stand par bus maie baita huwa tha.. raste maie ek Ghooshala hai jeha par gaay rakhi jati hai, uske liye ek jana chanda ugha reha tha..buso maie ja ja ke..

Itne maie ek mara huwa sa 4 saal ka ladka bus maie aya ..bhot hi bhooka lag reha tha.. halat aise ho rehi thi ki abi ek aadh ghante maie marne wala hai..agar isko khane ko kuch na mila to.. usne sare passengers se eke k karke bolta reha ki mujhe kuch paise de dhoo khane ke liye lakin paise dene to dhoor usko daant peet ke bus ke niche utar diya.. wo bechara shant sa sab ki taraf dekhta reha… maine phir ek ko pakad ke keha ki are bhai tere ko kuch nai dena to mat de bechare ke maar bi kyo reha hai...and phir use thode kele kharid kar diye ek reddi se…

You are right, religion is blind belief and mostly pakhand. The promoters and practitioners exploit the fears of ppl for their selfish motives. Pandas want money, mullahs jihad and padris again money.

Imagine God is not able to prevent these people from being bad, what good can He do to ppl ?

However, beliefs are personal. One can beleive in anything as long as it doesn't harm anybody and is not detrimental to larger society / nation / humanity. Unfortunately all the so called religions, especially the monotheists, try to control human mind and enslave him forever.

One basic mistake most people make is to translate "dharma" as 'religion'.
The Angrej didnt know Hindustani culture. Hence, a wrong translation and very 2 wrong meaning.
Dharma always meant DUTY and not belief in our context. When we Indians realise this ourselves, we will stop giving lame duck reasons for perfectly lewgitimate issues like stopping Cow Slaughter or Destruction of Ram Setu.

I am 100% agree with you brother even i want to say that no animal is part of food chain. We are making them a part of food chain we want there population to be increased because we want to eat them ,otherwise all the animals will achieve there death by natural course or they may be killed by some more powerfull animal maybe like lion,and that's how that chain runs.
But no we people has taken a place of animals and start killing them to eat or for some of our self interest.
And i am not saying this because of some blind faith in region or some thing, we are having very good vegetarian foods to eat why should we go for non veg.

Exchange ideas in a an amicable manner. Even the intiator of this thread did not call people to organize Morcha or did he ask donation for a Gau-shaala? He just invited people to discuss. So, what is wrong in Just discussing? But if, I say , this thread could help to instill a sense of doing something even in the mind of a single person say Ajay. I singled out Vijay, because i could sense that he had a genuine concern . Than something is achieved. That something is better than nothing.

You both, Ajay and Yogender bhai are right when you say that Cattle is looked after a lot better in the west. Looked after for what? To eat it one day, slaughter it mercilessly for profit of few hundred pounds/ dolors.

Most of the male calves are raised and looked after to eat, providing best of the Vet services to have a healthy meat.

We have thousands flaws in our system, that doesn't mean that west is better or more humane.

my question is why to eat beef? I mean if a person favours eating beef just bcoz he find it tasty or he will live long n healthy, that's rubbish.
