Rohit....
The ultimate savour is self... Lord Krishna.. came to rescue Draupadi not because he loved her, but because he loved himself... as he had to gain these words of praise and wisdome for the ages to come.... All what a person does is not for others but for self....

In this case I guess.. A father's decision means everything in life for him... Simple, definite, clear, and in his eye something taken to be for granted... A man of such a nature who probably has become an autocrat by reason of his own hard stuggle for existence, could not think of allowing 'inexperienced' nd irresponsible young fellows to choose their own lives. To act in such a way where future of his own daughter was concerned, would have been a grave reprehensible weakness in the exercise of parental authority and responsibilty, something utterly incompatible with his characteristic sense of duty!!!

And am sure... the amount of persuation and 'grave' warnings have made the lady act as in breaking that opposition.... And here I feel the family has not acted for the girl. but for themselves..... as Krishna acted for him.... being called the savour till date.... who talks of Draupadi?? no one.... but of the TARANHAAR PRABHU.... All crap Rohit.... all crap.... No Lord has ever done a thing in good spirit of help.... but in spirit of making there mark.... I remeber Ramayana and Mahabharta played on TV.... wherein... Dev and Asur used to have meetings of their own... and Devta sab kehte they ki.... aane vaale yug me humara prabhutva ho.. uske liye humein yeh karna hoga... yeh karna hoga... Dev Samhita. Rig Ved.... Atharv Ved... Sab yeh hi batate hain.... ki harr kisi ka maksad sirf khud se hota hai.... Maa bachhe ko doodh pilati hai..... kyunki usko bachhe ka rona achha nahi lagta.... isliye nahi ki bachha bhookha hai.. par isliye ki uska rona kano me dard kar raha hai... to doodh pila do.. and am sure lots of eye brows will be raised here on this comment of mine..as no one will accept this truth....
Every other thing done in this world by every other person whether it me Mom, Dad or siblings.... is done in pursuit of self satisfaction........ And this is expected of the offsprings to help Mom and Dad realize their die hard imagination if self satisfaction...if one does not.. he is called a bad son or a bad daughter for thinking for self!!!! Crap/ all Crap////

Cheers!!

Now doubt, interpretations can always be questioned, but not the observations. Who made Krishna God? Not his contemporaries, but the people like you and me later on. He was like any other person during his times. It were the later on interpretations, which projected Him as Lord based upon his actions. I don't think he knew that people would treat him like God when he was doing all that he did. So I tend to differ with your interpretations that people act only for self.. It may be true to some extent but not entirely. Why fault can not be laid at the door of that boy who could not act and project himself in proper light? As I told earlier in this thread, loving some one is one thing, but concluding love into relationship is entirely different.

When we come to know about Krishna through Srimad Bhagvat Geeta, we always read him to be saluted as srihari, bhagwan, ishwar, his childhood days are depicted as balprabhu... If at all Krishna was a human like me and you... what made people call him a God and not me or you or anyone else at that oint in time?
Let us not discuss it in pursuit of one particular incident.. but in general.... if it is me... I want to be satisfied from all angles in life.... and if someone comes in my way.. it makes me restless!! the same with all others.... how old or young they are does not matter...I remember Hitler in his Mein Kampf has written.. it was the youth who were to be tackled... so as to build a strong tomorrow... and he killed jews... and he justified his killings... for self satisfaction.... I remember NatuRam Godse giving his satisfactory xplanation to assasination of M.K.Gandhi.... All for self satisfaction.... people... who claim to be saints... people like Sri Sri Ravishankar.... being nominated for Nobel Peace prize... if he did not do anything for self.. why then is there so truimph... for this success of his??? people like Asaram Bapu... all of them sir. all of them act for self.... there are people who accept it.. and others who deny to it.... If today.. I or you or anyone for that matter makes a charity... we do it for ourselves.. if not for name.. may be for good blessings... that God will shower upon us thereafter!!!
True.. love is a different thing and concluding the same into a relationship is different..... no comments on the fault finding exercise...as this gives a lot... and the discussion goes off track....

Cheers!!

In a interconnected system there is nothing like self. Simple laws of physics are enough to support this statement. There is nothing like self. Its too narrow an interpretation Shobhit..

Bhai Varun,

Though I have no business to come in between friends/ cousins or what ever other relation you and Shobhit have, It would be better if all these personal comments are reserved to personal Meesages or outside the doman of open Jatland forum. Please don't make Jatland an extension of personal discussions you all have in hostel or elsewhere.. For God sake sapre that girl at least now..I see her name also mentioned in one of your posts. Hope you know how much harm you are doing to her..

Dear Mr. Kalkhunde

I presume there are no guidelines that direct the members to limit the scope of their discussion. If my posts are of a nature that transgress the limits of decency in a civil society, you can definitely object. For me humour is the best way to help forget something that is terrible (even if it is in bad taste sometime).

In this case, the person who is supposedly at the receiving end of my post has not objected. Other members on this forum also dont mind some banter. But you have some issue regarding the personal nature of the posts. I guess the very first post of this thread was very personal in nature, but then you were very keen on giving advice and life ke fundae, etc.

As far as revealing the name of the girl is concerned, what makes u think that I revealed it. There are thousands of girls by the name of Priya in India and I am sure a couple of hundred in Jats as well. So there is no way for you to know which girl is that, unless you take a keen interest in personal matters of others and investigate further. Besides, how can be you so sure that Priya is her real name, it could be a pseudonym.

Many people at Jatland discuss personal stuff. It is like a family, people share their achievemnets and we all feel happy for them. They share their disappointments and we feel for them again. Nobody has had a problem with that. As far as this thread goes Shobhit should be the one objecting and then I'll decide whether to listen to him or not, given the relationship I have with him (you agree that I have a special relationship and with that I have some special rights as well). I distinctly remember that a few years back on the intercaste marriage thread you posted about an intercaste marriage of your friend. The couple you talked about happen to be parents of a very close friend of mine. Both of us felt bad but we did not object because nobody would have known who you talked about except us and a few others.

Sir, before theaching others propriety I feel should practise that a little. The message that you posted acting all hoity could have been sent as a personal message too and I would have respected your views then. I would have felt that you care and as a elder want us to be perfect in our social conduct. But your comment was very patronizing and smacked of condescension.

I care two hoots about moral policing and moral police disgusts me the most. There are many posts that I find in poor taste or bad but I do not comment because every member has his rights. If you find my posts distatseful please ignore them. I have a sincere request to you, please dont try to patronize us.

It would not affect us because at the end of the day we will take it as an advice from an elder but you might feel bad that you were not given the respect that is due for a senior member like you.

Please pardon me if I hurt you feelings in any way but I still turn down your request.

Regards

another true story

really it happens,
i know one of my friend has suffered and paid ultimate prize
.
girl and guy both are jats. girl is from rajasthan (no offence for other rajasthanes) in a premier. GOVT instititute.IN MAHARASHTRA

she proposed the guy saying that she want to marry him and bla-2. the guy told her that he is ready but before begining a relationship be sure if u can pull it off if not then leave it here otherwise it will spoil 4 lifes and 4 families. he said take ur time and decide. but she was adamant to marry him. even in front of god (mandir) she said all it and planned future life. as usual girls mother was a vilian she was keeping the girl in dark that she wil talk but nothing like that happenned . she wanted her money as they were in debts.
time passed bye both were happy but she was fluctuating (SHE DOES NOT CARE 4 OTHERS FEELINGS ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT WHAT HERSELF), she say yes and no 15 times a day sometimes. she say i will make my parents realise, aand cry in front of him . THE BOY STOOD BY HIM IN EVERYPOSSIBLE WAY HE CAN IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCES, IT NEVER MATTERED TO HIM. when boy said lets get marry and give formal name to it , she refused giving thousand reasons, some from her some from mother. her mother did everything bad she can. still the guy wanted to marry her , as he wants her not the family.she could not think what was right.he tells her she doesnot know what does seperation means and her family will force her or she herself will say get me married to anybody after the boy was gone she said no , i will not marry anyone. family press. inc. .everyday he tried to make her feel what is hapening but she never wanted to feel doing everybad she can in the process. she couldnot feel relation means both are one, not individuals. , he even refused to marry other girl. he even broke his engagement 4 times for her and everytime he told her that he was doing this 4 both of them but the girl came forward. said u marry i will live alone, even she tried to sabotage him and his family. He even then tried to make her understand what does a marriage means .one fine day the boy got married without his will, as she was not ready his parents want marriage after the marriage . she went to common friends and cried what i did and never realised what it means.cried-2.
the boy also was broken to pieces .he could not live . t
he girl even used her in every possible way she can.
the boy never utterred a word to anybody about anything in her life, as for him that girls respect and image was most imp. in his life.
she say all lies to everybody about the marriage telling everybody , boy was not right and he betrayed her and so on , even she tried to blackmail him she will tel everything to everybody and as only girls voice is heard (thats our society aand system). she even did that
he never said anything bad about her even to her and his parents frieds were ofcourse out of question.
he valued her a lot as a person she never realise it

then one day she came and said that i was gaining experience from u in everytype of thing experience can be gained and now i m a xperinced person u never exist i my life , i love some body else.

the boy was broke to hell. he tried to handle the press. for 3 yrs but could not handle all those things more. that was the final nail in his coffin and he expired still thinking about her and his past (he didnot commit suicide, his nerves GAVE away), repenting about his life.
he was an exceptionally briliant guy stood first in every exam , college and even topped the university. also he was an allrounder briliant in sports and extr curricular activities
he topped all the exams he gave , he was never a looser he had faced all the hardships of life taking all in his strides. BUT THE GIRL BROKE HIM

but that was a tragic end for his life . we came to know all this at the very end of his life

May be the girl will realise her mistakes one day but again that will be too late

MAY God bless her AND GIVE HER PEACE WHEREEVER SHE GOES

IS THERE GOD ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD AND IF YES DOES HE SEES ANYTHING

PLEASE SUGGEST
WHAT BEST THE GUY COULD HAVE DONE THE GUY WAS DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH THAT GIRL EVEN AT THE TIME OF HIS PASSING BY
