This is a beautiful door and it's jams! It shows both inverted lotus and upright lotus. I have noticed inverted lotus atop Ashoka's pillar. Perhaps the pillar may be one of the first showing inverted lotus as a pillar design in India. Thereafter, this design is one of the most popular ones even seen in delhi's red fort which was constructed by the Mughals.
