कश्मीर में हुआ ७१ प्रतिशत मतदान कश्मीरियों की बदलती मनोदशा दिखा रहा है ! लगता है कश्मीर की महिलाओं ने खुलकर बीजेपी को मतदान किया है
! मोदीजी ही पीड़ा से मुक्ति दिला सकते हैं।आतंकवाद से सब से अधिक वेदना नारियों को भुगतनी पड़ती है, वेदना धर्म अथवा संप्रदाय देखकर नहीं आती है !! अब तो वैसा होगा कि कराची में भी मोदी अथवा उनके समर्थक खडे रहें तो बहुमत प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

ऐसा होना कोई बड़ी बात नहीं है। पाकिस्तान, भारत और बंगलादेश के मुसलमान इस बात को समझते हैं कि वे मुसलमान बनने से पहले हिंदू थे और मुस्लिम आक्रमणकारियों के भय, लालच और हिंदू धर्म के विरुद्ध झूठे दुष्प्रचार के कारण वे मुसलमान बने। वे यह भी समझते हैं कि इस्लाम अपनाकर वे एक विदेशी धर्म की गुलामी कर रहे हैं। मोदी जैसे भरोसेमंद और जमीन से जुड़े व्यक्ति के भारतीय सत्ता में आने के कारण वे भारत की तरफ आकर्षित हो रहे हैं। यदि एक माहौल बनाया जाए तो पाकिस्तानियों और बंगलादेशियों को वापस हिंदू धर्म में आने के लिए तो प्रेरित किया ही जा सकता है, साथ ही नेपाल की तरह उनके साथ बॉर्डर भी खोला जा सकता है। आईएसआई, पाकिस्तानी सेना या कठमुल्ले आतंकवादी तो फिर छिपने की जगह तलाशेंगे। भारत एक बड़ा बाजार है, जो माहौल सामान्य होने पर कश्मीर जैसे राज्यों को कुछ ही महीनों के अंदर पुनः स्वर्ग बना सकता है। कश्मीर एक सुविख्यात पर्यटन स्थल है, जिसकी ख्याति दूर-दूर तक है, लेकिन अभी भी बहुत से लोग आतंकवाद के कारण वहां पर्यटन पर जाने से बचते हैं। ऐसा ही पाकिस्तान और बंगलादेश के बारे में भी कहा जा सकता है, भले ही पर्यटन के संदर्भ में नहीं, बल्कि कई अन्य संदर्भ में...।
कश्मीर, पाकिस्तान और बंगलादेश में लोग बुनियादी सुविधाओं के लिए तरस रहे हैं...। आतंकवाद ने कश्मीर और पाकिस्तान को बहुत बुरी तरह से प्रभावित किया है। वे लोग बदलाव चाहते हैं...बस उन्हें एक भरोसेमंद व्यक्ति चाहिए...। देखें, मोदी उनके भरोसे को भी जीत पाते हैं या नहीं...

Subversion of democracy becomes necessary during wartime. Kashmir has always been a flashpoint and the situation has been warlike. Alienation is the byproduct of compulsory subversion and not intentional. Kashsmir is highly strategic part of India having a difficult border with a hostile neighbour. India can not afford to part with it at any cost. It would be suicidal to give space to the populist sentiments which have roots in secessionist agenda spearheaded by our neighbour by proxy from day one after partition.
I am afraid, that's a pretty self-serving argument. In other words, to hell with the conditions and wishes of the local Kashmiris (our own countrymen btw), as long as it serves the nationalistic pride and political continuance of the rest.
True we can't ignore the role of Pakistan in supporting the militants and exploiting the situation. But there was a wound already present before the Pakistanis began festering it. The situation was already ripe for exploitation. And who did that?
And that argument of forever ongoing wars in Kashmir is bogus as well. We weren't fighting wars in Kashmir for the full 70 odd years. Its only in the late 80s with the rigged elections that the situation got worse. One of my distant uncles served in the Army and fought in 1965 in Kashmir. He mentions how the locals brought him food - rotis and lassi, when their rations ran out low during the fighting. Situation wasn't so bad. It took a turn for the worse by political bungling, playing one side against the other and rigging elections.
And suicidal for whom? Kashmiris are already committing suicides by the thousands every year or are under depression. So are our own soldiers, who are deployed in COIN operations. If not taking their own lives they end up killing their own seniors and colleagues.
Its time we got rational. I love my country -its people, its culture etc. But I am not in love with its borders. My love is not restricted or defined by the extent of the land boundary of my country. And I see no point in making the economy, army and the society suffer because of one group that doesn't love it back.
